What we do

LINK19 College supports young adults with learning difficulties into the world of work. Learners at LINK19 College engage in regular support work placements enabling them to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to successfully access employment.

Construction and Grounds Maintenance

From fencing to grass cutting, our construction and grounds maintenance workers have done it all. We have successfully completed projects with the Forestry Commission, Kent Life, Darent Valley Hospital amongst many more.

Hospitality

Our hospitality pathway offers a unique opportunity for learners to gain valuable work experience in the hospitality sector. This pathway emphasises teamwork, communication, and customer service, ensuring that learners are well-prepared for the demands of the industry.

Why it works

We work closely with learners, employers, business owners and members of the community to ensure all parties involved have the skills and understanding of how to get the best from our learners.

Catering

As well as having our own LINK19 Cafe on site, learners on the Catering pathway work with local cafes and restaurants to support in food preparation, customer service and cleaning.

Horticulture and

Animal Care

At LINK19 College, we offer an animal care pathway that provides learners with the opportunity to gain practical experience in this sector. Current work placements include Second Chance Animal Rescue and the Buttercups Goat Sanctuary.

How you can help

If you have an opportunity that you think may be suitable then we would be more than happy to talk with you. We are confident that having met our young individuals and experienced their dedication to the work you will be suitably impressed.

Retail

Merchandising, stock checks, customer service and more. Our retailers have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to working in a shop and even run their own business on site here at LINK19.

Employability & Life Skills

At LINK19 College, we believe that employability and life skills are essential for our learners' success. That's why we offer a range of programmes and initiatives to help them develop these skills. From work experience placements to CV workshops, we provide our learners with the tools they need to thrive in the workplace and beyond. Our goal is to empower our learners to achieve their full potential and become valued members of their communities.
